400 Years On: Recreating the Pembroke College Foundation Ceremony

Professor Lynda Mugglestone Receives Prestigious Harvard Fellowship

Earlier this year, Professor Lynda Mugglestone, Pembroke Fellow in English Language and Literature, was awarded a Harvard University Houghton Library Visiting Fellowship which will allow her to continue her research into renowned Pembroke alumnus Samuel Johnson, author of the first comprehensive English dictionary.

Pembroke Alumna Annabel Eyres (1984) Selected as Olympian Artist for Paris 2024

30 July 2024

Annabel Eyres first learnt to row during her time at Pembroke, where she studied Fine Art between 1984 and 1988. By 1992, she had rowed in two Boat Races and was heading to Barcelona for the Olympic Games that summer. This year, Annabel makes her return to the Games, though in a form more closely related to her degree subject than her extracurricular activities – as an Olympic artist.

Pembroke Student Published in the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal

Seeking to reshape how we think about the law of estoppel, Joel’s article identifies the rationale of this area of law and explores its relationship to other related doctrines. “Starting Afresh: Reformulating and Reconceptualising the Law of Estoppel” was published earlier this month as one of the four Private Law articles in the 13th Edition of the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal, which can be found here.
