Last Saturday, Scott Beardsley joined our worldwide alumni community as he graduated with a Masters in Practical Ethics from Pembroke and the Uehiro Oxford Institute.

Pembroke alumnus John Boumphrey (1994, Modern Languages) has been recognised for his services to technology, consumer and the digital commerce industry.

A new study co-authored by Pembroke Senior Associate Professor Fritz Vollrath looked at how elephants in Kenya use their energy reserves to determine Hannibal's route through the Alps. 

Earlier this summer, the University of Oxford’s Chancellor William Hague announced that Pembroke alumnus Professor Sir Chris Whitty will be taking over as Chair of the University’s Alumni Board. 

Last November Pembroke Study Skills Lecturer Dr Dyedra Morrissey was selected to join the Advisory Board for the Festival of Education. This year she spoke for the third time at the Festival, aiming to equip educators from various sectors with the theories and methods she uses in leadership and skills development.

Pembroke has been awarded Gold in the University of Oxford’s 2026 Green Impact Awards. This is the second consecutive year that Pembroke has won the Gold award, a testament to the sustained efforts of our students and staff who are working to improve sustainable practice across the College. 

Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Studies Dr Eamonn Molloy has recently published a new book titled Traversing the Spectrum of Organisational Autonomy: The Path to Self-Driving Organisations.
