Pembroke College alumna Laura Cross (née Carr, 2001, Jurisprudence) has been recognised at the 2025 Best Business Women Awards for her work inspiring children through creative STEM education.

Michaelmas Term is here, so what better time to introduce our MCR (Middle Common Room) President for the new academic year: Isabela Linares. We recently spoke to Isabela who gave us an insight into Pembroke’s postgraduate community. 

Designed to emulate 'a week in the life of an Oxford undergraduate', Access Week is our annual summer residential for pupils from our target regions participating in our Access and Outreach programmes. We welcomed 120 pupils who participated in tutorials, seminars, mock interviews, academic trips, and much more.

Michaelmas term is fast approaching, which can only mean one thing – an onslaught of Freshers will be imminently arriving to Oxford and Pembroke. Starting university can be a big transition for anyone. We thought we’d ask one of our fresh graduates, Rohit Ghosh, to reflect on his time at Pembroke, looking all the way back to his own Freshers’ week.

This August, Smithsonian-Pembroke Junior Research Fellow Dr Sruthi M. Krishna Moorthy organised The Interdisciplinary Summer School on Forest Ecosystems, a vibrant event hosted at the University of Oxford which brings together a global community of forest researchers.

We are delighted to share that Professor Ana Namburete, Pembroke’s Rokos Fellow and Tutor in Computer Science, has been awarded a prestigious European Research Council Starting Grant for her WOMB2COT project. 

At the start of the summer, we publicly launched our most ambitious fundraising campaign to date: Imagine Pembroke.
