Weddings, Blessings and Baptisms
Weddings
The Damon Wells Chapel, situated at the heart of the College, is a beautiful place to get married.
Eligibility to marry in the Chapel extends to:
- Current students
- Alumni
- Fellows and Fellows Emeriti, and their children
- Current members of staff, and their children
Marriages conducted in the Chapel require a Special Licence, granted at the discretion of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Chaplain, the Reverend Andrew Teal, will advise and guide couples through the licence application process and can support them in planning the service. The Chapel seats up to 100 guests. Subject to availability, wedding ceremonies may be followed by a drinks reception within college.
Blessings
We are pleased to offer services of blessing in the Chapel following civil marriages or civil partnerships. A Special Licence is not required for blessings. Eligibility criteria are the same as those for weddings listed above. Further information about planning a Church of England wedding or blessing can be found here.
Baptisms
Current students, Fellows, staff, alumni, and their children are welcome to be baptised in the Chapel.
