Amazon UK Vice President and Pembroke Alum John Boumphrey awarded OBE in King’s Birthday Honours List

Pembroke alumnus John Boumphrey (1994, Modern Languages), who has been Amazon UK’s Vice President since 2020, was recently made an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List. He has been recognised for his services to technology, consumer and the digital commerce industry. 

John heads up Amazon’s UK and Ireland operation and has played a key role in launching Amazon’s Multibank donation centres in 2022. This initiative provides those in need with surplus goods donated by Amazon and other businesses through a network of local charities and care professionals.
