Supporting Local Farms: Pembroke Kitchens Partner with OxFarmToFork

Every Tuesday and Friday morning, a delivery of freshly harvested vegetables and other produce arrives at Pembroke’s kitchens. Within hours of its arrival by cargo bike, seasonal produce is on the menu and served to students and staff in Hall.

An Anniversary Like No Other: Celebrating 400 Years of Research and Impact at the Pembroke 400 Festival

On 29th June, 1624, Pembroke College received its Royal Charter from King James I, declaring Pembroke the newest constituent college of the University of Oxford. Pembroke Student Published in the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal

Seeking to reshape how we think about the law of estoppel, Joel’s article identifies the rationale of this area of law and explores its relationship to other related doctrines. “Starting Afresh: Reformulating and Reconceptualising the Law of Estoppel” was published earlier this month as one of the four Private Law articles in the 13th Edition of the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal, which can be found here.

Many congratulations to Pembroke alumnus turned Senior Retained Lecturer in Law, Dr Valentin Jeutner, who has recently published The Reasonable Person: A Legal Biography – a book which adopts a pseudo-biographical style in order to explore the purpose of using ‘the reasonable person’ in legal contexts to help judges make decisions.

Crossings in the Real: Ethnographic and Documentary Voices in Sinophone Cinema

This screening programme explores a collection of Sinophone films whose genres sit in between an ethnographic film, documentary, essay film, and fiction. The series will cover four themes, including COVID-19, Gender, Art and Society, and Rural-Urban, and will run from Feb to May 2026.
