How to Find Us
Pembroke College is located in the heart of Oxford, on Pembroke Square, just off St Aldate’s. Please note: while Pembroke Street is nearby, our main entrance is on Pembroke Square, adjacent to the south side of St Aldate’s Church.
Oxford benefits from excellent road and rail connections, as well as proximity to major airports. Pembroke’s central location makes it ideal for those travelling by public transport, and we actively encourage green travel to support sustainability efforts:
Oxford Railway Station is a 15-minute walk from the College
Gloucester Green Coach Station is about a 10-minute walk
Local bus stops are just outside the main entrance on St Aldate’s
Please note: Pembroke College does not offer visitor parking. If you must drive, we recommend using one of Oxford’s Park & Ride services—the city centre drop-off is a short walk from College. For essential on-site parking due to access needs, please contact the Head Porter in advance at 01865 276444. All visitors should check in at the Porters’ Lodge upon arrival.
For more information on accessibility and what to expect when visiting the College, please refer to the University’s Access guide.

Alumni Visits
Alumni will not normally be denied access to College. There are rare, but occasional times when alumni and other non-resident members of College may be restricted in their right to visit because of events taking place which necessitate strict security arrangements. The Development Team is always interested in alumni visits and invite you to notify them of your plans via email, at which point they will also be able to advise on any events which may affect your visit. Please see more on the Alumni Hub.
Full information for alumni about visiting Pembroke and other colleges can be found here.
Alumni are encouraged to come with their My Oxford Card, which identifies you as a member of the University as well as giving you access to a range of exclusive benefits and offers. If you already have an Oxford Alumni Card, you do not need a My Oxford Card as the previous version is still valid. Click here for more details or to request your My Oxford Card.
