Applicant Feedback
Thank you for your application to Pembroke College. Competition for places at Oxford is high and most who apply make strong applications that demonstrate real enthusiasm for the subject with excellent grades.
Tutors have to make difficult decisions both when shortlisting and making offers, and every year we turn away a large number of very able candidates. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours and are sure you will find success wherever you go.
It is the policy of Pembroke College to not provide individualised feedback to candidates who are unsuccessful in their application for study. General feedback regarding the cohort of applicants for your course will be available below and on the Faculty page of the course you applied to once the admissions process is completed in January 2026. Please do check this once it is available, if you would like to find out more about the selection criteria this year.
Test Scores
Applicants will receive their test scores by logging in to the Pearson tests registration system. You will receive an email alert that these results are available on or as soon as possible after 13th January 2026.
Scores for the UCAT, and the LNAT, are made available to candidates directly by the relevant test providers.
Subject-Specific Feedback
Most departments also offer a report with subject-specific feedback after every admissions round. These are produced in January 2026 by departments, and we will provide links to them below once available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get any other feedback about my test, written work, UCAS application or interview performance?
It is not possible to provide this. We only have access to the scores available on this page; we do not have access to any qualitative information.
My test score was higher than the average of those shortlisted / offered a place - why wasn't I shortlisted / offered a place?
Tutors take your entire application into account when making their decisions. A high score in a test may have been outdone by stronger personal statements or qualifications from other candidates.
Can I ask for a reassessment of my application?
It is not possible for your work to be reassessed.
I didn't get a place, can I reapply?
As stated on the university website, you may to reapply for entry in the following academic year if you wish to do so. Your reapplication will be treated entirely on its own merits without consideration of your previous unsuccessful application.
