Rodel Fellowship for Peter Buttigieg (PPE, 2000)

NEWS |

Peter Buttigieg, who came to Pembroke in 2000 as a Rhodes Scholar, has been named to a Rodel Fellowship by the Aspen Institute.

Buttigieg was elected Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, in 2007 and this latest prestigious appointment reflects the reputation he has gained as one of the nation’s most promising young political leaders. There are currently around 200 Rodel Fellows, with 24 Fellowships being awarded in 2014.

The Aspen Institute is a non-partisan educational and policy studies organisation and their Rodel Fellowship Programme seeks to recognise those who embody the values of western democracy through ‘thoughtful and responsive’ leadership.
