Research by Pembroke Fellow Professor Yimon Aye’s lab published in Cell

NEWS |

We are pleased to share that research findings by Pembroke Fellow Professor Yimon Aye’s lab group have been published in the journal Cell

Her group in the Department of Chemistry have collaborated with partners in the USA and Switzerland to develop a technique called OS-Localis-REX, that decodes signalling processes in individual types of cells in a live animal. A better understanding of reactive chemical signalling processes in cells, a living organism’s response to stress or danger, can aid in the development of new drugs.

Professor Aye, who joined Pembroke earlier this term as Tutor and Fellow in Organic Chemistry, shares: ‘we are keen to further evolve and expand this technology toward therapeutic applications in disease-relevant models, particularly with our new collaborative networks at Oxford Medical Schools and across the wider UK.’

We extend our warm congratulations to Professor Yimon and her team.
