Pembroke Recycling Raises £1,000 for British Heart Foundation

NEWS |

At the end of last academic year Pembroke took part in a charity recycling scheme which saw 72 bags of donated goods gathered for the British Heart Foundations (the largest number of any of the 24 Colleges who took part). This raised just over £1,000 for the charity, as well as generating a net benefit over landfill of 576Kg in CO2 reduction terms, and £500 in costs.

Credit must go to Jane Osborne (Accommodation Manager), David Green (Assistant Accommodation Manager) and the Scouts for their enthusiastic encouragement and support for the scheme and of course our students themselves who recycled responsibly and for a good cause.
