Climb Every Mountain: Two Pembroke Students Complete the Three Peaks Challenge in Aid of Local Charities

Last month, two medical students took on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three tallest peaks in the UK within 24 hours in order to raise money for two local charities.

Impact Award for Professor Ingmar Posner

Pembroke robotics expert and Fellow in Engineering Professor Ingmar Posner has been presented with an Impact Award by Oxford University's Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division. The award follows the Division's highly ranked submission to the 2014 national Research Excellence Framework assessment.

Professor Posner and his colleagues in the Oxford Mobile Robotics Group work are developing new technologies including those needed to control autonomous vehicles. These systems have many applications, and are currently being used in the LUTZ pods which will be tested on the streets of Milton Keynes during 2015.
