Dr Isaac Jarratt Barnham

Retained Lecturer in Medicine; Teaching Fellow in Medical Ethics

I am a medical doctor currently undertaking Ear, Nose and Throat-themed surgical training. After undertaking a degree in Philosophy and Psychology at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, I studied Graduate-Entry Medicine at St Catherine’s Oxford. There I became involved in teaching first-year Graduate-Entry Medical students both pre-clinical medicine and medical ethics.

On graduating, I was invited to join the teaching staff at Pembroke, where I lead the surgical teaching for students in their first and final clinical medical school years. I focus on providing a warm and encouraging teaching environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, and on helping each student group develop a supportive team-feel and camaraderie with their classmates!
