Dr Bettina B F Wittneben, MBA
How do organisations prepare and implement real, lasting transformation towards a zero carbon society? This is a question I have been pursuing in my research over the past two decades. I first came to Pembroke as Senior Research Fellow in Management in 2008 and am now an Associate. I teach Strategic Management (BA), Organisational Behaviour (BA) and Corporate Climate Action (MBA) at Saïd Business School as well as a graduate level elective at the School of Geography and the Environment. In addition, I co-direct Oxford’s DPhil programme in Environmental Research. In the past, I have held posts at Edmonton Public Schools, the UN Climate Secretariat, the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, and Rotterdam School of Management. I graduated from the Judge Business School with my PhD in Strategic Management and Organisation, I hold an MBA and BA from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree from the Grenoble School of Management. Currently, I work with the Swedish steel industry to learn how they invented and produced the world’s first fossil-fuel free steel.
