
Professor Jonathan Rees
I graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1992, then trained in orthopaedic surgery in Oxford. I was appointed Clinical Lecturer to the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Science in 2004 and then University Lecturer in 2005. I continued as a shoulder and elbow surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) while teaching, training and running a musculoskeletal research programme before becoming Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Science in 2014.
I am now Head of the Nuffield Dept of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (University of Oxford), and Director of the Botnar Institute for Musculoskeletal Sciences (University of Oxford).
