Professor Linda Flores admitted as University Proctor for 2022-23

NEWS |

Professor Linda Flores, Fellow in Japanese at Pembroke, was admitted this week as the University’s Junior Proctor for 2022-23, having been nominated to represent Harris Manchester College.

The University of Oxford’s proctors are senior officers and trustees of the University with a role which encompasses advocacy and scrutiny. They oversee student matters and uphold the University’s statutes and policies throughout its governance and administration. They also play a large part in the ceremonial duties of the University.

Every year, three colleges choose one of their fellows to serve as either a proctor or assessor. Proctors are admitted formally in the Sheldonian and escorted from their colleges with a procession.

We warmly congratulate Professor Flores on her admission.
