Pembroke Engineering Tutor receives MPLS Outstanding Research Supervision Award

Congratulations to Pembroke Tutor in Engineering Science, Professor Clive Siviour, for receiving an MPLS Outstanding Research Supervision Award. This award celebrates research staff and academics across the Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences Division (MPLS) who go above and beyond in supporting their colleagues by demonstrating inspirational leadership and enabling others in the field to flourish in their careers.

Out of 40 research supervisors nominated, thirteen were chosen as winners. Those who nominated Professor Siviour described him as empathetic, supportive and a model of an outstanding supervisor.

Researchers in the group led by Professor Siviour felt that he created a relaxed environment where everyone felt comfortable to express themselves without judgment. Professor Siviour is also constantly on the lookout for career and development opportunities for his group members. He actively promotes their work in the public, industrial and academic domains, and opens his network to the group.
