Pembroke College Medical Tutors win Teaching Excellence Awards

The Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford recently held its 2021 round of Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA). These awards recognise outstanding contributions to education in the division and provide funding for educational projects. The Categories of the awards range from ‘Excellent Teacher’, ‘Excellent Supervisor’ to ‘Major Educator’ and project awards.
Dr Jack Amiry, retained lecturer in medicine at Pembroke, won the ‘Early Career Excellent Teacher’ award. Dr Richard Harrington, Associate Director of graduate-entry medicine at Oxford, won the ‘Lifetime achievement’ award. Dr Harrington mentors and assists graduate entries to medicine at Pembroke. Professor Jeremy Taylor, who was the College’s Fellow in Medicine for 28 years until his retirement in 2020, won a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award.
