Believe in Him Installation Visits Pembroke

Believe in Him, created by Utah artist Tom Holdman in collaboration with the Roots of Humanity Foundation, is a 32-foot long stained glass exhibit which has travelled between Rome, Paris and London. During the recent vacation, the travelling exhibition spent a week in Pembroke's Hall and Chapel, where it was enjoyed by students, staff and visitors.

Pembroke Alumnus Gareth Powell Awarded OBE on King’s Birthday Honours List

Congratulations to Pembroke alumnus, Gareth Powell OBE (1994, Biology), who recently featured in The King’s 2023 Birthday Honours List. Gareth was awarded an OBE for exceptional services to Transport in London and to the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Gareth’s 19 years of dedicated service at TfL, most recently as the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, exemplified his commitment to enhancing London's transport network. In September 2022, he was appointed to his current role as Managing Director of London Stansted Airport.

The King’s Annual Birthday Honours List is published every year to recognise the outstanding achievements of people across the United Kingdom. The OBE in particular is a prestigious honour awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to their field, including the arts, sciences, public service, and more.

Pembroke extends its warmest congratulations to Gareth for this honourable recognition.
