New Book Published by Pembroke Fellow Barnabas Aspray

We are delighted to share that Dr Barnabas Aspray has published his first monograph with CUP. Titled Ricœur at the Limits of Philosophy: God, Creation, and Evil, the book explores the thought of one of the twentieth century’s greatest religious philosophers.

The book contributes to contemporary debates in philosophy of religion. It focuses on the question of how finite humans can access universal truth, transcendent realities, and whether or not finitude should be seen as an evil. The French philosopher Paul Ricœur offers unique insights on these questions that have so far not been explored in academic research.
