Celebrating Success: Catherine Ashworth, Physics and Philosophy

NEWS |

Congratulations to Catherine Ashworth (2016, MPhysPhil Physics and Philosophy) who placed top in her cohort across the University for Third Year exams and was awarded a Gibbs Prize for best performance in the Physics papers.

Catherine’s exams were delayed into Michaelmas Term 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, and she and her peers had to adapt to studying at home in lockdown during Trinity Term 2020.

Reflecting on her achievement and the next chapter of her academic journey, Catherine commented: "Being awarded a prize this year for my results was a lovely surprise. I would especially like to thank my tutors in Pembroke who have always been very inspiring and supportive of my studies. I am enjoying my Master's year which allows me to explore philosophy of physics in greater depth, including a thesis on probability in multiverse quantum mechanics."
