More than 170 sixth form pupils are expected to take part in the 2021 virtual Access Week at Pembroke. The core of the week will be participation in a choice of university-level tutorials given by Oxford academics, with topics including:

• Artificial Intelligence: What are the Differences (if any) between your Brain and a Computer?
• Autoimmunity – What happens when the immune system goes wrong?
• Religion and Tolerance in the French Enlightenment
• The Anatomy of Fascism
• Understanding Human Memory: Its Accuracy, Limits, and Failures

This panel for first generation applicants will be hosted by Kate Bickerton, Pembroke College Student Officer and first generation aluma of Oxford University. She will be joined by current students Xaira Adebayo, Nic Nicolaou, Dylan Houghton and Iza Basharat.

This panel for black applicants will be hosted by Hope Oloye, Pembroke Alumna and Thinking Black founder. She will be joined by current students Chimdi Okpalauko, Reco Osei Kofi, Xaira Adebayo and Nic Nicolaoud.
