Join Dr. Fareed Zakaria, esteemed Washington Post columnist and CNN host as he delivers the 2024 Fulbright Distinguished Lecture at Pembroke College, Oxford on Friday 14th June, titled "Towards a Post-American International Order."

Almost 80 years on from the end of World War II, the international liberal order is under acute stress around the world while its main supporter, the United States, turns increasingly inward. In his 2024 Fulbright Distinguished Lecture, CNN host and best-selling author Fareed Zakaria examines the dramatic shifts in geopolitics we are currently witnessing and asks: what is going to come next?

6.30pm – Reception

There will be a Procession at the start of the lecture so we ask you to arrive promptly as the auditorium doors will close at 4:50pm.

  • Professor Earl Lewis,Thomas C. Holt Distinguished University Professor of History, Afroamerican and African Studies, and Public Policy at the University of Michigan
  • Dr. Devi Sridhar, Professor of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh
  • John Kerry, former U.S. special presidential envoy for climate

The lecture series is jointly organised by DPIR, Pembroke College, the US-UK Fulbright Commission, the Fulbright Association and the Lois Roth Endowment.
