Dr Peter Claus to speak at The Mayor of London's Education Conference

PAST EVENT | 21 November 2014 11:30

A panel discussion entitled How state schools can work with independent schools, universities and international partnerships to raise aspirations will include Pembroke's Access Fellow, Dr Peter Claus.

Pembroke's partnership project with William Morris Sixth Form in Hammersmith, West London, and The Open University: The London Centre for Languages and Cultures (LCLC), exists to encourage sixth formers to consider continuing their language education at top universities, and to support language teachers in the exchange of best practice and in deepening their own knowledge.  LCLC is funded by the Mayor of London and the Department for Education via the London Schools Excellence Fund.

This second annual Mayor of London's Education Conference will consider how to keep up the fantastic work being done in London schools. It will also look at how we can give all our young people the skills, knowledge and creativity they need to compete with the talent London attracts from across the world. If you are a headteacher or senior leader and are interested in attending, please email education@london.gov.uk.
