Pembroke Win Mixed Netball Cuppers Tournament

NEWS |

Congratulations to the Pembroke College Netball Club (PCNC), who won the annual Mixed Netball Cuppers tournament that took place on Saturday 2nd June at the sports grounds of Lady Margaret Hall. This was a great achievement by PCNC who were up against a total of 31 teams from 23 participating colleges.

Pembroke’s Captain Libby Munro (Social Sciences, 2016) commented:

‘I’ve absolutely loved my time as captain of PCNC. The improvement in our performance over the course of the year has been huge and it’s amazing to have been a part of that. Thank you so much to everyone involved in Pembroke netball this year and I look forward to being back on the courts together again in October!’

This has been a great term for Pembroke’s sports team, our women’s squad won their first-ever 15-a-side final of the women’s rugby Cuppers at the end of April and our Women’s First boat won the Headship in the annual intercollegiate bumping race, Summer Eights.
