Pembroke Student James Forward Rows in World Championships

NEWS |

Congratulations to Pembroke Student James Forward who proudly represented Great Britain and Pembroke College at the under 23 World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on 23rd July!

Rowing in the coxless four with students from Princeton, Cal Berkeley, and Oxford Brookes, the team dominated the heats posting the fastest time overall. They won their semi-final, and triumphed over Australia and France in the final to become World Champions.

James (2020, Philosophy, Politics and Economics) shared that this was the perfect ending to his time at Pembroke, having rowed in the Summer VIII and Blue Boat, and having won the under 23 European Championships with GB in 2021.
