Pembroke College Hosts In-Person Open Days For First Time Since 2019
NEWS |
We were delighted to welcome hundreds of prospective applicants to Pembroke during the Oxford University Open Days! After having to host them virtually for the last two years, we recently had our first in-person Open Day since September 2019.
On the 29th & 30th June, our Student Ambassadors handed out maps in the city centre leading visitors to Pembroke College. Just a 2-minute walk from Cornmarket Street, a large banner welcoming everyone to Pembroke could be spotted as soon as you pass G&Ds!

Once visitors arrived at the Lodge, they were welcomed by our Academic Office Team, who were handing out flyers linking to our newest Digital Prospectus & course information. Visitors were then given the option to either take a tour with our Student Ambassadors, or to explore the College themselves. On the tour with our Ambassadors, visitors viewed our student rooms, the College dining hall, the chapel, quads and more.

In the Pichette Auditorium, our Subject Tutors were available for drop-in chats with prospective applicants, along with our Academic Director Nancy Braithwaite and Head Librarian Laura Cracknell who answered questions about admissions.
Subject Taster Talks were also given by our tutors in Politics, Medicine & Engineering.

On our social media channels, particularly Instagram, we shared updates throughout the two days. Our Student Officer, Kate Bickerton, hosted a Q&A on our stories for those who couldn’t visit us in person.
Head to our Instagram to find all the stories in our highlights & to find a Reel with snippets of the day.

We look forward to hosting another Open Day on September 16th, make sure to keep an eye on our website & sign up to our mailing list for details closer to the time.
