Pembroke alumna, Kate Surala, recently awarded Management Today's 35 Women under 35

Congratulations to Pembroke alumna, Kate Surala (MSc Law & Finance, 2016) who has recently been awarded Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35. At the age of 26, Kate has soared to Partner and Chief Compliance Officer at The Analyst Research LLP.

Kate designs, implements, and oversees the operations of The Analyst, which includes all compliance matters, legal, financial, and strategic development within the business.

At the age of 12, Kate went to court to watch her mother represent minors as a social worker. Inspired by what she saw, she came on to study MSc in Law and Finance at Pembroke College, joining The Analyst as head of compliance and legal in 2017. She was promoted to COO after four months and made partner earlier this year, having helped the firm to double it’s staff and revenues. Kate is currently studying towards her PhD on the impact of MiFID II on research for investment firms.

Prior to joining The Analyst, she worked in the Legal department of Nordea Bank S.A., Private Banking in Luxembourg, where she specialised in MiFID II and GDPR.
