OxNet Easter Essay Competition Winners Announced

The winners of the OxNet Easter Essay Competition have been announced.

Open to A-Level students at our access hub schools in London and the North West, participants in the competition were asked to write a 2,000-word response to an essay question during the Easter break. Essay topics were tailored to fit within one of four overall subject categories: Modern Languages, Philosophy and World Religions, Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

The winning students were Cassie Lloyd-Watson, (Modern Languages) Niall Hall, (Philosophy and World Religions) Freya Gompertz, (Science) Mariella Smith, (Humanities and Social Sciences – North West) and Cordelia Piras-Trow (Humanities and Social Sciences – London).

The winner of each category was awarded a selection of books relating to the degree programme for which they wish to apply, as well as a place on the Pembroke Scholars programme. This programme offers support for pupils wishing to submit an application to Pembroke.
