Lord Nicholas Stern Delivers Annual Fulbright Distinguished Lecture

On 8th June 2018, Professor Lord Nicholas Stern delivered the 8th Annual Fulbright Distinguished Lecture titled ‘The Best of Centuries or the Worst of Centuries: Leadership, Governance and Cohesion in an Interdependent World'. 

Pembroke Rhodes Pelczynski Fellow in Politics, Professor Stephen Whitefield and Penny Egan CBE Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission introduced Lord Stern and explained the purpose of the Fulbright Lecture series.

These distinguished annual lectures commemorate former United States Senator J. William Fulbright, alumnus of Pembroke College, Oxford and founder of one of the most prestigious international education awards programs in the world: The Fulbright Program. 

Lord Stern addressed a full house at the Pichette Auditorium in Pembroke College. His thought-provoking talk was followed by a lively Q&A. The lecture was live streamed and has now been published on Pembroke’s website. It is available to watch here.
