John Barlow (1933-2016)

We have learnt the very sad news that John Barlow (1952 Law) died on Tuesday 22nd March in hospital following a stroke.

John was a true stalwart in the alumni community who, as acting Development Director and Legacies Officer for many years, kept Pembroke vivid and vibrant for his contemporaries and many others, older and younger than him. He did this with great passion and warmth, ensuring always that communications passed in both directions: John reminded us of the need to keep our finger on the pulse of alumni thinking about the College. Pembroke owes him a great deal.

His family have announced that John’s funeral will be held on Thursday 7th April at 2 pm at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Main Street, Wantage OX12 7LQ.
