Dr Rob Johnson appointed as Director of the Secretary of State’s Office for Net Assessment and Challenge

Congratulations to Dr Rob Johnson, Pembroke Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Changing Character of War Research Centre (CCW), who has been appointed as Director of the Secretary of State’s Office for Net Assessment and Challenge (SONAC) for the next two years.

Dr Johnson specialises in research into war, strategic thinking, military operations and armed conflict, including in the Middle East. He also works on the history of war and strategy in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with a particular interest in the World Wars.
