Dr Jess Rudnay Named ‘Teacher of the Month’ Thanks to Pembroke Student Nominations

NEWS |

Pembroke Clinical Tutor Dr Jess Rudnay has received the title of ‘Teacher of the Month’ from the Director of Clinical Studies at the University of Oxford after receiving nominations from Pembroke Finalist students.

For the last two years, Dr Rudnay has provided clinical tuition to medical students at Pembroke, and has taught first year students as well as Finalists preparing for their clinical examinations.

One Finalist commented: ‘[Jess] has gone over and above her duties as a clinical college tutor. She makes a great effort to find interesting patients for us to examine…and gives invaluable feedback tailored to our needs. Rarely do I leave every session with a single tutor feeling like I’ve been captivated throughout, but this has always been the case with Jess.’

Dr Rudnay told Pembroke of her reaction to the nominations: ‘I was very touched to receive this award, which was completely unexpected and therefore a wonderful surprise! Over the last two years of teaching for Pembroke, I have always been so impressed at how enthusiastic, engaged and dedicated the students are. It really has made it a pleasure to teach them.’
