Alumnus Frederic Aranda publishes California Photography Book

Alumnus Frederic Aranda (1998, Japanese) has published a new photography book, titled ‘California Elegance: Portraits from the Final Frontier’ which will be released on the 23rd of February.

The book is the result of a five-year collaboration between Frederic and writer Christine Suppes, a native Californian, in which the pair have travelled the state and captured its diversity through photography. The book includes photos of California’s governor, prominent actors and actresses, Nobel laureates, scientists, farmers, firefighters and more, as well as images of the state’s diverse natural and urban scenery.

Discussing the creation of the book and the wide range of people and places featured, Frederic commented: “We met so many incredible people moving the cultural, political, and scientific needle forward. To be able to capture them in their most authentic environments was hugely rewarding.”

More details on this fascinating project can be found on the website of Rizzoli USA, the book’s publisher.
