This year's alumni weekend will be taking place virtually. Pembroke is hosting online events throughout the day on Friday the 11th of September and Saturday the 12th of September.

Friday 11th September

11.00am - Pembroke Horizons: ‘The politics of history and memory’

Professor Adrian Gregory will be interviewed by Stephen Tuck (both Fellows in History) on the politics of history and memory, particularly focusing on how monuments represent commemoration.

4.30pm - Meet the Master: Talk by Sir Ernest Ryder

Join The Rt Hon Sir Ernest Ryder as he discusses his previous experiences and gives a College update.

Saturday 12th September

10.00am - An Uncomfortable Oxford Tour

Co-founded by current Pembroke student, Olivia Durand, Uncomfortable Oxford virtual tours aim to teach attendees about the 'uncomfortable' aspects of the city's past.

£8 per person, exclusive to Pembroke alumni and friends

1.00pm - Pembroke College History update with Greg Neale (1999, History)

Greg Neale (1999, Mst History) brings an update on the College History book ahead of its release for the 400th anniversary

Free event, exclusive to Pembroke alumni

4.00pm - Frederic Aranda (1998, Japanese) talks about a career in photography

Frederic Aranda (1998, Japanese) will give insight into his career as a portrait photographer, and having his work appear in publications such as Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines. 

Free event, open to all alumni

7.00pm - Music with Tarik O'Regan (1996, Music)

Tarik O'Regan (1996, Music) will be providing an original composition which will be performed by Dr Guy Newbury, with comment by Tarik on the piece afterwards.
