Teacher Training Day: Teachers’ Colloquium on Fifth-Century Athens

PAST EVENT | 19 February 2014 09:30 - 19 February 2014 17:30

The course will provide an opportunity to anyone teaching subjects related to classical Greece (for GCSE, A-level or IB), be it for ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation or Ancient History, to brush up on the latest research on this topic in the fields of literature, history, archaeology and epigraphy. Experts from University College London and the British School at Athens will offer lectures and seminars on various aspects of fifth-century Athens, including hands-on activities. There will be the chance to speak to university lecturers informally during breaks.

Thanks to the generosity of the A. G. Leventis Foundation attendance is free (including tea, coffee, light sandwich lunch), and the event is open to all teachers at secondary schools, PGCE students, and PhD students interested in a career in secondary school.

Please email caddey@bsix.ac.uk if you would like to attend.
