The 2014 Pembroke Lecture on Fanstasy Literature, in honour of J.R.R. Tolkien (former Fellow of Pembroke) is the second annual event in this series.
Professor Adam Roberts is the distinguished guest speaker this year. He is Professor of Nineteenth-Century Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London and has published 14 science fiction novels, the most recent of which are Jack Glass (Gollancz 2012) and Twenty Trillion Leagues Under the Sea (Gollancz 2014).
