Get Painting on Your iPad! - A Zoom Art Class for Pembroke Alumni
Learn to sketch and paint, wherever you are in the world, on your iPad using the app Procreate in this fun, non-intimidating Zoom class. Taught by world renown digital artist Jeremy Sutton (1979, Physics) on the 22nd of April at 5pm BST/9am PDT.
Please note that this class will be recorded to share with others on the Pembroke Connects website at a later date, by participating you give permission to be included in the recording.
To join this Zoom virtual meeting it is recommended you use a Mac or PC desktop or laptop computer. It is best to join the meeting via the Zoom app which you will be prompted to download on either Mac or PC when you start or join your first Zoom meeting. If you're new to Zoom also see: https://www.paintboxtv.com/zoom-101/
Besides the Mac or PC for joining the meeting, ideally you'll have an iPad with an Apple Pencil and the Procreate app installed. However you can also use any media, including paper with pencil, pastel or pen, should you wish to. We will be drawing a still life so please arrange an assemblage of objects / flowers / fabrics in front of you (and include any Pembroke memorabilia and Pembroke-related colours) and light them so they have interesting lights, shadows and shapes. Jeremy will share his still life set up on-screen. Thus you can draw along with him using the same subject matter, or your own. You do not need any art or technical training or experience. All levels are welcome!
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Provisional Schedule (in BST):
