Maxim Kantor @ Pembroke

PAST EVENT | 01 May 2014 17:30

Maxim Kantor is a Russian painter, social commentator, playwright and one of Russia's best selling novelists. He is famous for having founded the 'Krasny Don' or 'Red House' movement in 1983: a group of dissident artists who aimed to illuminate the desperation of Communist oppression.

Kantor has exhibited all over the world, including in his own solo exhibition at the 1997 Venice Biennale, and was the first living artist to be given an exhibition at Moscow's Pushkin Museum.

All Pembroke members are invited to an interview with Mr Kantor, which will include time for audience Q&A.
