Crossings in the Real: Ethnographic and Documentary Voices in Sinophone Cinema

This screening programme explores a collection of Sinophone films whose genres sit in between an ethnographic film, documentary, essay film, and fiction. The series will cover four themes, including COVID-19, Gender, Art and Society, and Rural-Urban, and will run from Feb to May 2026. The screenings will be held in the Pichette Auditorium and the China Centre, University of Oxford.

Marco Paolini - 'Studio per un nuovo album: Numero primo'

Italian theatre director Marco Paolini will bring to Oxford his latest production, Studio per un nuovo album: Numero primo.

Organised with the support of Italian Studies at Oxford and Pembroke Annual Fund, the event will take place on 15th December at 7pm in Pichette Auditorium, Pembroke College.

The event will be free and light refreshments will be served. A Q&A session will follow. 

Please note: the performance will be in Italian.
