Inspiring Service

PAST EVENT | 23 November 2018 17:00 - 23 November 2018 18:30

The Chaplaincy is organising a panel on Inspiring Service at Pembroke College, Oxford. The panel will feature the Rt Revd & Rt Hon Lord Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury), the Revd Prof Frances Young (Methodist minister), Elder Jeffrey R. Holland (one of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and Lord David Alton (Roman Catholic Independent Cross-Bencher Life Peer in the House of Lords).

The Chaplaincy's Inspiring Service event invites attendees to take part in a discussion about the progression of students into a life characterized by authentic vocation. The event will be exploring in particular how one translates Christian doctrine into Christian service and what has inspired the panellists to a life of service in the academy, politics, and faith communities.

All are welcome to this event, however, attendees must register for a ticket via Eventbrite.
