Careers in Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment - Panel Discussion

A panel discussion is taking place at Pembroke on Thursday 17th February on the topic of gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace.
Hosted by Oxford Women for Women International Society and organised by Pembroke undergraduate Sophie Dowle (3rd year Arabic and Islamic Studies), the discussion will aim to tackle questions concerning how to approach career related to gender equality and women's rights, or how to incorporate feminism into a career.
Panelists include Dr Barbara Havelkova (Shaw Foundation Fellow in Law at Lincoln College, Oxford, who teaches topics such as Feminist Jurisprudence), Izzy Clark (Policy and Programmes Grants Coordinator at Women for Women International UK) and Emily Coates (a consultant at PwC focusing on women and girl's empowerment).
Topics will therefore cover careers in academia, law, NGOs and the private sector.
There will be a Q&A session after each panelist has given a short presentation on their field.
