Andrew David 'Quintinshill: 102 Years down the Line'

The Pembroke College History Society’s first public event of Michaelmas term 2017 welcomes back alumnus Andrew David (1975, Classics) to deliver a talk titled 'Victorian Coaching Stock & Britain’s Deadliest Railway Disaster: Quintinshill, 102 Years Down the Line.’
It will take place on Friday 10th November 2017 at 6pm in the Mary Hyde Eccles Room, Pembroke College.
This event is free and open to the public.
About the Speaker
Pembroke alumnus (1975, Classics), Andrew David was active while an undergraduate in the (now moribund) Oxford University Railway Society.
He teaches and manages English Language provision (EFL and ESOL) in various London Colleges, and is currently a Tutor in Classics at City Lit, London. Andrew also teaches school children and adult groups for the British Museum, including working on the Museum's Government sponsored Iraq Emergency Heritage Management Programme.
Since 2014 he has been volunteering with the restoration of antique railway coaching stock, and has written a number of magazine articles on railway history, including on the Quintinshill Rail Disaster.
