Alumni Ambassador Event: Vancouver Urban Walk

In celebration of the 444th birthday of William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke, and as a nod to Pembroke College's commitment to sustainability and biodiversity, we will have a hiking event at the Green Timbers Urban Forest! Green Timbers was inaugurated in 1930 and was one of the earliest reforestation projects in Canada. The event will be a guided walk (and if we're lucky, we'll be joined by an expert for identifying birds, trees, etc). See you there!
- Date: Saturday, 13 April 2024
- Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Meeting place: Surrey Nature Centre (SNC), 14225 Green Timbers Way
- Transportation notes: You can also take the Skytrain and walk from King George station to SNC (this is hiking after all).
- Hiking notes: Mostly flat terrain; guided walk
