The Activist Humanities in a Global Context

- Paul Smith (Director of the British Council US and former director of the British Council in Afghanistan & Egypt)

- Robin Kelley (Long-time scholar activist and Gary B. Nash Professor of American History, UCLA)

Drawing on their own experiences, the panellists will discuss how the humanities have and should engage with contemporary challenges across the globe. There will be plenty of time for audience questions and discussion.
