New Alumni Portraits Hung in Hall for 2026

As is Pembroke tradition, a new set of six photographic portraits featuring recent alumni has been hung in the Dining Hall, celebrating the extraordinary lives and achievements of Pembrokians in a wide range of sectors.

Dr Annette Idler, has been researching and writing about global security, particularly in South America, for over 15 years. Over the past 10 days her expertise has been called upon worldwide to explore recent US actions in Venezuela and their wider impact.

Pembroke Fellow Dr Eamonn Molloy Awarded OBE in New Year Honours List

Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Dr Eamonn Molloy has been recognised in the 2026 New Year Honours List. He was awarded an OBE for services to the Royal Air Force in his role as Chairman of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.

Award-Winning Pembrokian Photographer Featured in the National Portrait Gallery

Frederic Aranda (Japanese Studies, 1999) has enjoyed a dynamic and successful career in photography since graduating from Pembroke in 2003. His dedication to the art will be recognised later this month when two of his portraits will hang in the National Portrait Gallery after achieving finalist status in the Taylor Wessing photography competition.

Land, Sea, and Sky: Paul Nash in Oxford

Pembroke JCR Art Fund Gallery

Land, Sea, and Sky  will draw on the holdings of the Ashmolean Museum, the Tate archives, a number of Oxford colleges and private collections, seeking to bring the work of renowned British surrealist painter and war artist Paul Nash to a new generation of viewers – shedding light on the Oxfordshire locations that inspired his work and the Oxonian women who supported him.
