Access Week 2025: From Local to Global

Designed to emulate 'a week in the life of an Oxford undergraduate', Access Week is an annual summer residential at Pembroke College. Select pupils from our target regions who have participated in our Access and Outreach programmes were invited to attend the residential, which took place this summer. We welcomed 120 pupils who participated in tutorials, seminars, mock interviews, academic trips, and much more.

Reflections of a Recent Pembroke Graduate

Michaelmas term is fast approaching, which can only mean one thing – an onslaught of Freshers will be imminently arriving to Oxford and Pembroke. Starting university can be a big transition for anyone. We are really excited to introduce Pembroke’s new Music Director, Mark Wilson. Mark has extensive musical experience in both choral and instrumental groups. He currently leads Standish Consort, the alumni choir of the Oxford University Society’s Gloucester branch, as well as singing regularly with different Cathedral choirs.

Rochdale Development Agency Partnership Launched

A new partnership has been formed between Rochdale Development Agency and Pembroke, to provide a programme of academic engagement for the most able pupils across Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton.

The partnership will initially offer a pilot programme of academic enrichment that will support pupils from a range of schools across the Borough to enhance future possibilities for their education and career.

Award-Winning Pembrokian Photographer Featured in the National Portrait Gallery

Frederic Aranda (Japanese Studies, 1999) has enjoyed a dynamic and successful career in photography since graduating from Pembroke in 2003. His dedication to the art will be recognised later this month when two of his portraits will hang in the National Portrait Gallery after achieving finalist status in the Taylor Wessing photography competition.
