Pembroke Fellow Dr Eamonn Molloy Awarded OBE in New Year Honours List
NEWS |
We are thrilled to share that Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Dr Eamonn Molloy has been recognised in the 2026 New Year Honours List. He was awarded an OBE for services to the Royal Air Force in his role as Chairman of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.

“It’s an honour to be awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours list,” shares Dr Molloy. “It was a bit out of the blue and I’m surprised to realise just how much it actually means to me to be recognised like this."
While the award is in recognition for services to the Royal Air Force, and in particular my role as Chairman of the RAF Central Fund, I also owe a debt of gratitude to colleagues at Pembroke College for the role they played in enabling this.
"As my employer, they have been fantastically supportive of my position as Group Captain in the RAF reserves, highlighting the critical role that universities and employers can play in promoting personal professional development and enabling excellence in national resilience and defence.”
Alongside his contributions to the RAF, Dr Molloy is internationally recognised for his research and teaching in the areas of complex organisation design and technological change. He has also worked on research projects with several government bodies, including the NHS and Department for Education and Skills, and private-sector clients such as Cadbury and Schweppes. He is an honorary fellow of the International Consulting Economists’ Association, and associate fellow of the ESRC’s Centre for Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance, and even a part-time flying instructor at the West London Aero Club.
We are proud to have Fellows with such varied and interesting careers and to support their work within and outside of Pembroke. Many congratulations to Dr Molloy.
