Using the Tutorials Plus Fund, Pembroke tutors and students in Chinese Studies recently spent an afternoon at the Ashmolean Museum with Professor Anne Gerritsen, Professor of History at the University of Warwick and Chair of Asian Art at the University of Leiden.

The College is saddened to learn of the death of Emeritus Fellow Professor Paul Raphael Hyams, who was Fellow and Tutor in Medieval History at Pembroke for twenty years.

We are proud to introduce Beth Kume-Holland (2013, History) as the latest focus of our alumni success series. Beth has been named in this year’s ‘Disability Power 100’ list as one of the most influential disabled people in the UK.

Many congratulations to College Lecturer in Engineering, Dr Nicole Miranda, who recently received an award for a new research paper at the 17th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems in Cyprus.

This summer, Pembroke student Joshua Kirkhope-Arkley (European and Middle Eastern Languages, 2020) used the Robert Baldick fund to undertake a work opportunity with a newspaper in Lomé, Togo.

The College’s annual Scholars’ Lecture and Dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our undergraduate students and to formally admit new Scholars and Exhibitioners to their titles.

Pembroke alumna Rona Bar-Isaac (1991, BA Mathematics and Philosophy) is currently co-head of the retail and consumer sector at City law firm Addleshaw Goddard.
