New Alumni Portraits Hung in Hall for 2026

As is Pembroke tradition, a new set of six photographic portraits featuring recent alumni has been hung in the Dining Hall, celebrating the extraordinary lives and achievements of Pembrokians in a wide range of sectors.

Dr Annette Idler, has been researching and writing about global security, particularly in South America, for over 15 years. Over the past 10 days her expertise has been called upon worldwide to explore recent US actions in Venezuela and their wider impact.

Pembroke Fellow Dr Eamonn Molloy Awarded OBE in New Year Honours List

Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Dr Eamonn Molloy has been recognised in the 2026 New Year Honours List. He was awarded an OBE for services to the Royal Air Force in his role as Chairman of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.

To celebrate this day at Pembroke, we reached out to Dr Lois Brand, Stipendiary Lecturer in Medicine and Lead for the College’s Clinical Course, and to our current JCR President and Biochemistry Undergraduate, Rhiannon Durant, to learn about their experiences in their respective fields and why they enjoy their subjects. Lord Heseltine Gives Lecture at Pembroke College

In November 2021, Pembroke College hosted alumnus and Honorary Fellow Lord Heseltine (PPE, 1951) to give a lecture titled ‘A World Turned Upside Down’. Lord Heseltine is founder and Chairman of the Haymarket Group, and was a Member of Parliament for nearly four decades.

‘Preventing the Next Pandemic’ was the title of this year’s Annual Fulbright Distinguished Lecture in International Relations, which was the eleventh of its kind. Dr Devi Sridhar, Professor of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh, delivered the engaging and lively lecture to a full Auditorium on the 19th of November 2021.
